Dr. Jing Yong Ye is an Associate Research Scientist at the Center for Ultrafast Optical Science (CUOS) at the University of Michigan. He is a faculty member in the Optics Research Area in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department. He received his doctoral degree in Applied Physics from University of Tsukuba, Japan. He then joined JRCAT-ATP in the National Institute for Advanced Interdisciplinary Research as a Research Scientist. He received the Outstanding Research Scientist Award from the organization. He joined CUOS in 2000 and has been working closely with the researchers in MNIMBS since then. He received the Outstanding Research Scientist Award from College of Engineering in the University of Michigan in 2007. He is also a senior member of IEEE since 2002.
Dr. Ye is a truly innovative scientist and his creative activities embrace a wide range of research areas including ultrafast laser spectroscopy, fiber optic fluorescence biosensing and imaging, nanotechnology and biophysics.
